Emory Johns Creek Hospital Mother Baby Patients:

Emory Johns Creek Hospital's mother-baby patients receive an exclusive 45-minute newborn hospital session during their hospital stay on Monday, Wednesday and Friday beginning at 8am. Parents are requested to feed their baby at least 30-45 minutes PRIOR to their scheduled session. A white wrap, matching backdrop and baby necessities are provided. Archival prints, digitals and wall art is available for purchase.

Do I need to make an appointment before my hospital stay at Emory Johns Creek Hospital? Since most deliveries are unpredictable, you do not need to make an appointment prior to your hospital stay. Please book your hospital session during your hospital stay on our calendar here: calendly.com/jessicalimonphotography. Appointments are at EJCH on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

What props are provided for the hospital newborn session? A white backdrop, matching hat or headband and a white wrap is provided. Hospital sessions are 30 minutes in length with 15 minutes for set up and break down of the photography set. A specific posing flow is followed with provided props so that at least 15-20 images are obtained. Newborn sessions with costumes, buckets, baskets, and sets typically take about 3 hours and are available in the comfort of your home with our in-home newborn studio sessions. If interested, please inquire about our custom in home newborn sessions.

My baby is in the NICU and will not be able to do a session for quite some time. Will my baby be able to have a session? Absolutely! Please contact us so that we can arrange a session prior to your baby's discharge date. The NICU nurses and I will work together to make sure your baby is captured when they are ready.

I have been discharged home, but now I am regretting that I did not have my baby's pictures done while we were at the hospital. I am now wanting to have a hospital newborn session. May I come back to the hospital and have our newborn hospital session honored? Patients may not return to the hospital at a later date to receive a hospital session. Your hospital session must be done during your hospital stay. However we do offer newborn sessions in the comfort of your home. Please inquire to book.

How should we prepare for our session? In order to maximize the hospital session, please feed your baby at least 30 minutes prior to their session, have your baby undressed to their diaper and swaddled in their hospital blanket. A fed and sleeping baby will allow for the session to be maximized to its fullest potential.  It is recommended that parents wear neutral-colored clothing such as a solid white, gray, or blacktop. Avoid clothing with bright colors, logos, patterns, graphics, writing, and stripes. Mothers are only photographed from the chest up.

I want my older child(ren) to be a part of the session too, but they can't be at the hospital because of the current hospital restrictions. Can you photograph us at a later date at our home? Absolutely. We offer in-home newborn sessions so that older siblings can be captured too. These sessions are different than our hospital sessions, please inquire to book. Hospital sessions are designed to capture those first days of the baby while at the hospital and show a mini sample of what can be done for our popular in-home newborn studio session. Hospital session packages and pricing are only available in the hospital setting.

When and how do I pay for my hospital session? Payment is due at the time of service. A $75 non-refundable retainer is due when booking your newborn hospital session. This retainer is applied to your final portrait package purchase and is due when you complete your hospital session booking. We offer a variety of products and packages including digitals, archival prints, and wall art. Families typically plan to spend an average of $400 on their newborn hospital session package. We accept all major credit cards and cash. To view more information on our packages and products, please contact us to obtain our newborn hospital brochure or visit the nurses' station and grab a brochure at the front desk.

How do I order? Orders are placed in person immediately after your session. We will assist you every step of the way from having a relaxed session in the comfort of your hospital suite, providing everything for your baby, and helping you choose the best package for you.

When will I receive my order? Digital DOWNLOADS are sent via a download link to your email within 24 hours. Packages, prints, and products are shipped via UPS within 7-10 business days.
